MINT PDO threads are made from polydioxanone, a material long used in dissolvable sutures. Placed beneath the skin through a fine needle or cannula, the threads gently lift and reposition tissue. As the body absorbs them, they prompt new collagen around the treated area.

Threads suit early sagging in the cheeks, jowls and brows for patients who want a lift without surgery. They are not a substitute for a surgical facelift when laxity is significant, and Sangini will tell you honestly which camp you fall into. She often combines threads with filler, Sofwave or Botox for a balanced result.

MINT PDO thread lifts are an alternative to a traditional facelift. Fine dissolvable threads are placed under the skin to gently reposition the underlying tissue, restoring a more youthful contour without surgery, incisions or extended downtime.

As the threads are absorbed by the body, they stimulate natural collagen, so the improvement continues after the lift itself. Threads are perfect for patients who want to soften early sagging and wrinkles and are not ready for surgery.

    Consultation

    We assess skin thickness and laxity and decide whether threads, energy treatments or a combination will give the most natural lift.

  2. 02

    Numbing

    Local anesthetic keeps you comfortable at the entry points.

  3. 03

    Placement

    Threads are placed along planned lines of lift and checked for symmetry. Most appointments take 45 to 60 minutes.

  4. 04

    Aftercare

    Avoid wide mouth opening, facial massage and strenuous exercise for a short time while the threads settle. We give you clear written instructions.

Downtime

Expect mild swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for several days, though most people return to work within a day or two.

Results

Some lift is visible right away and typically improves over the following months as collagen builds, with results that vary from person to person.

Are PDO threads permanent?

No. The threads dissolve over several months. The collagen they stimulate can help results last after the threads are gone, but maintenance is usually needed.

Does a thread lift hurt?

We use local anesthetic, so most people feel pressure and tugging rather than sharp pain. Tenderness for a few days afterward is normal.

Can threads replace a facelift?

Not for everyone. Threads work best for mild to moderate sagging. If surgery would serve you better, Sangini will say so.

How is a thread lift priced?

It depends on the areas treated and the number of threads, so we price it after assessing your face at consultation. The $150 consultation fee for new consultations is fully credited toward services booked.
