About Sofwave
Why patients choose LIV
- Best for
- Brows, jawline, neck, fine lines
- Sessions
- Typically one to two
- Results
- Build over about 12 weeks
- Downtime
- None
Sofwave delivers parallel beams of ultrasound energy to the mid-dermis, the layer where collagen lives, while built-in cooling protects the surface of your skin. That controlled heat prompts new collagen and elastin, so skin gradually looks firmer and smoother.
Sofwave is a strong choice for mild to moderate laxity at the brows, jawline and neck, and for fine lines. Aesthetician Laura Memishi performs many of our Sofwave treatments and is known for keeping patients at ease, with Sangini shaping the overall plan. It pairs well with Morpheus8 for texture, or Botox and filler for shape.
The same technology works on the body too. Sofwave Body firms mild laxity on the arms, abdomen and above the knees and improves the look of cellulite on the thighs and buttocks, and Sangini can layer it with truSculpt or Morpheus8 Body when you want to address fat, skin and texture together.
Good for
- Mild sagging at the jawline and neck
- A softly lifted brow
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Overall firmness and texture
- Results without downtime
- Cellulite on the thighs and buttocks
- Mild laxity on the arms, abdomen and knees
How it works
Sofwave
Lifts and tightens with ultrasound, with no downtime.
Sofwave uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam Technology to deliver controlled energy to the depth where collagen lives, while an integrated cooling system protects the skin's surface.
- Lift and tighten: helps lift sagging skin, particularly at the neck, jawline and brows
- Smooth: diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Refine: improves texture and tone for a more even complexion
How many treatments? Typically one to two, depending on your skin. When will I see results? Collagen regeneration can take up to 12 weeks, so expect ongoing improvement over the three months after treatment. Compare it with Morpheus8 in our guide to Morpheus8 vs Sofwave.

Does Sofwave hurt?
You will feel short bursts of heat. Integrated cooling and numbing cream help keep it comfortable.
How is Sofwave different from Morpheus8?
Sofwave uses ultrasound with no needles and no downtime, and focuses on lift. Morpheus8 uses microneedling with radiofrequency, also targets texture and scarring, and brings a few days of pinkness.
Can Sofwave be done in summer?
Yes. Sofwave can be done year round with daily sunscreen, since it does not target pigment.
Which body areas can Sofwave treat?
Common areas include the thighs, buttocks, arms and abdomen. We will tell you which areas are likely to respond for you.
How much does Sofwave cost?
It depends on the areas treated, such as the brow, face or neck, and we give you a clear quote at consultation. The $150 consultation fee for new consultations is fully credited toward services booked.
