PRF EZ Gel: A Natural Option for Under-Eye Hollows

Made from your own blood, PRF EZ Gel softens tired-looking under eyes and improves skin quality. Here is how it works and who it suits.

Hollows under the eyes are one of the most common reasons people come to see us. They can make you look tired even after a full night's sleep. Hyaluronic acid filler is one way to treat them, but more and more patients are asking about a natural alternative: PRF EZ Gel.

Regenerative aesthetics is one of Sangini's particular passions, so this is a treatment we know well.

What is PRF EZ Gel?

PRF stands for platelet-rich fibrin. It comes from a small sample of your own blood. EZ Gel is a technique that heats and processes that fibrin into a smooth, injectable gel.

The gel is rich in your own growth factors and proteins, the same ones your body uses to heal. Once injected, it adds gentle volume and stimulates your skin to repair and rebuild.

How it is made

  1. We take a small blood sample, similar to a routine blood test.
  2. The sample is spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets and fibrin.
  3. The plasma is heated and combined to create a gel with a consistency similar to filler.
  4. The gel is injected into the treatment area.

Because it comes from you, it is 100% natural.

What it treats

  • Tear troughs and under-eye hollows
  • Crepey, thin skin under the eyes
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Mild volume loss in the face
  • Overall tone and texture

PRF EZ Gel vs hyaluronic acid filler

PRF EZ Gel Hyaluronic acid filler
Made from Your own blood A gel similar to a sugar in your skin
Volume Gentle, natural Precise, more structural
Skin quality Improves tone and texture Mainly adds volume
Results Build over weeks Immediate
Reversible Absorbed naturally Can be dissolved

Neither is better for everyone. Filler is excellent when you want precise, immediate structure. PRF EZ Gel is ideal when you want a softer, natural result and better skin quality, or if you prefer not to use filler near the eyes.

Who is a good candidate?

PRF EZ Gel suits people with mild to moderate under-eye hollowing, thin or crepey skin, and those who want a natural approach. It may not be right if you have significant fat pads or very deep hollows, where a different treatment can work better. We assess this at your consultation.

What to expect

There is some swelling straight after treatment, which settles over a few days. Bruising is possible, as with any under-eye injection. Most people see a softer, brighter under-eye area over the following weeks as the growth factors do their work. A short series of treatments often gives the best result.

Pairing PRF with other treatments

PRF works beautifully alongside other regenerative treatments. We often combine it with microneedling, lasers like Morpheus8, or medical-grade skin care for a more complete skin refresh. Learn more on our injectables page.

Frequently asked questions

Is PRF EZ Gel safe?

Because it is made from your own blood, there is a very low risk of allergic reaction. As with any injection, bruising and swelling are possible.

How long do results last?

Results vary by person. Because PRF stimulates your own tissue to repair, improvements in skin quality can last for months, and many patients maintain them with periodic treatments.

Does it hurt?

We use numbing to keep you comfortable. Most people feel some pressure and mild discomfort.
